Moniepoint is expanding its engineering presence to Poland as a strategic location for senior hires, focusing on building a dedicated POS Application Platform function.

Wymagania

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on software engineering experience with at least 6 years leading engineering teams.
  • Direct hands-on experience building software on POS terminal devices' application layer.
  • Strong working knowledge of EMV standards and payment certification processes such as PCI DSS and P2PE.
  • Deep Android engineering expertise in Kotlin and Java.
  • Proven experience building internal engineering platforms, shared libraries, developer tooling, or foundational frameworks.
  • Experience governing or architecting across multiple POS device types and OEM integrations.
  • Experience building or maturing platform engineering functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale engineering teams and build organizational layers.
  • Experience in high-volume financial transaction companies, preferably fintech.
  • Familiarity with terminal management systems and device observability tooling.
  • Backend engineering experience in Java or Spring Boot is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with OEM vendors on hardware specification and integration is a bonus.
  • Exposure to C or C++ is a plus.
  • Experience solely at Series A or B startups is unlikely to be sufficient for this role.

Obowiązki

  • Own the technical strategy and architecture for the POS Application Platform, acting as domain CTO for POS devices.
  • Build and govern developer experience, platform reliability, foundational frameworks, and drive squad adoption.
  • Define and enforce engineering standards across all POS devices and OEM manufacturers.
  • Functionally lead POS engineers across different squads (Payments, Onboarding, VAS, Savings, Loans).
  • Own POS observability, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  • Drive architecture for supporting multiple POS device types, onboarding, and integration.
  • Collaborate with OEM partners and POS hardware teams for new device introductions.
  • Build and scale the POS platform team, including hiring and mentoring.
  • Translate platform decisions into business impact, collaborating with Product, Payments, and Business leadership.
  • Establish and improve engineering processes, tooling standards, CI/CD pipelines, and developer productivity metrics.
