Senior Critical Environment Technician

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team maintains critical infrastructure for over 200 datacenters supporting services like Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure. CO+I focuses on employee development and operates a large global infrastructure serving over 1 billion customers.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• SEP-certified electrician's license (at least type “E”) valid and active.
• Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and biennially.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical services experience in high-availability or critical infrastructure environments.
• Associate's Degree, technical trade certification, or higher-equivalent education.
• Equivalent experience.

• Perform assigned tasks such as making rounds, recording building observations, and taking measurements under supervision.
• Monitor and inspect critical environment equipment including controls, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Learn to operate all systems safely and professionally, understanding associated risks.
• Utilize computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track assets and complete work orders.
• Assist in emergency monitoring and response following emergency operating procedures with supervision.
• Perform planned, predictive, and corrective maintenance following procedures.
• Document maintenance tasks and issues, escalating as needed.
• Escort third-party contractors, vendors, and service providers on site following procedures.
• Adhere to safety and security requirements and business processes according to applicable regulations.
• Embody Microsoft culture and values.

• Must provide valid SEP-certified electrician's license during recruiting.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud background check.
• Location: Fully on-site in Warsaw, Poland.
