Data Engineer III

• 3+ years of industry or academic experience working with large data sets
• Experience building and optimizing scalable data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
• Expertise in SQL
• Experience with scripting languages: Python or NodeJS
• Experience with GCP services (BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow/Fusion)
• Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
• Strong analytic skills for working with structured and unstructured datasets
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams in dynamic environments
• Familiarity with virtualization/container technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker
• Familiarity with visualization software: Tableau
• Familiarity with frontend web framework: React

Preferred skills:

• Experience with programming languages Scala or Java

• Work with a team of data engineers and analysts to identify business opportunities and build scalable data solutions
• Build and maintain data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from multiple sources
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
• Assemble large, complex data sets meeting business requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements such as automation and infrastructure redesign for scalability
• Build infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading using GCP BigQuery and Spark
• Build analytics tools to provide insights into operational efficiency and key business metrics
• Collaborate with Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams on data-related technical issues
• Create data tools for analytics and data science teams to optimize product development
• Influence cross-team best practices across the organization
