Scala Software Engineer, Core Data

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong understanding of common algorithms, data structures, and code design principles
• Strong grasp of high-scale distributed systems
• Familiarity with Scala, Java, MySQL, Pub/Sub, BigQuery
• Passionate about database scale and performance challenges
• Strong sense of ownership, persistence, drive, and communication skills

• Help define the future of Core Data architecture in the cloud and evolve existing systems
• Design novel approaches to address scale and observability challenges of the data tier
• Develop services to identify, eliminate, and prevent data inconsistencies or corruptions
• Provide guidance to client engineering teams on utilizing near-real-time data interfaces
• Promote wider adoption of near-real-time data interfaces by identifying compatible use cases
• Implement initiatives to ensure systems meet availability, performance, and reliability SLOs

Candidates are expected to work from the Warsaw office a minimum of 3 days per week.
