Wymagania

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated backend expertise.
  • Proficiency in Java with deep knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm design.
  • Strong foundations in computer science, ideally with background in mathematics or computer science; comfortable with graph algorithms, optimization problems, and complex computational concepts.
  • Experience building scalable backend systems including database design, caching strategies, and asynchronous processing.
  • Ability to assess, communicate, and complete project milestones in a time-sensitive manner.
  • Fluent English (written and verbal).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with workflow engines or business process management platforms (e.g., Camunda, Flowable).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects or mentoring junior engineers.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a passion for software craftsmanship.

Obowiązki

  • Design and implement backend services for the Box Automate workflow engine using clean, maintainable Java code focusing on correctness, performance, and scalability.
  • Build and optimize algorithms for workflow graph representation, traversal, and execution to reliably process millions of workflow instances daily.
  • Develop and extend the Automate meta-language enabling complex, variable-driven workflows beyond standard CRUD operations.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and infrastructure teams to define requirements, propose technical solutions, and deliver features on schedule.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to respond to and triage issues.
  • Attend weekly stand-ups, team meetings, and 1:1 meetings for alignment and continuous improvement.
