Python Developer (Warszawa)

Upvanta is developing a data-driven platform supporting vehicle pricing, mapping, and recommendations in the automotive and remarketing domain.

• 3–5 years of professional experience as a Python Developer, preferably with a data or backend focus.
• Strong Python skills including experience with data-processing libraries such as pandas.
• Experience building REST APIs using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
• Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
• Experience building and orchestrating data pipelines, ideally with Airflow.
• Good knowledge of Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Good understanding of API design and system integration.
• Ability to work confidently in English within an international team.

Nice to have:

• Full-stack experience, particularly with Angular.
• Experience with cloud data infrastructure and containerisation.
• Exposure to event streaming technologies such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with data-quality and observability tools.
• Understanding of machine-learning workflows and collaboration with data scientists.
• Experience in automotive, leasing, pricing or remarketing domains.

Data pipelines:

• Design, build, and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines orchestrated with Airflow.
• Bring internal vehicle and contract data as well as external market data into the platform.

Data modelling:

• Help shape and evolve the canonical data model in the data hub focusing on data quality, consistency, and lineage.

Backend & APIs:

• Build and maintain Python services and REST APIs exposing pricing, vehicle, mapping, and recommendation data.

Integration:

• Implement and maintain integrations with source and downstream systems, including external API integrations and event-driven data flows.

Quality & reliability:

• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code.
• Implement monitoring and data-quality checks.
• Support pipelines and services in production.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with Product Owners, Technical Architects, Scrum Masters, and Motortrade developers to translate business logic into software.

Full-stack contribution – a plus:

• May contribute to the Angular front end presenting pricing features to users.

Work mode hybrid with 50% attendance required at the Warsaw office.
