Software Architect

SPEEDNET SP. Z O.O., based in Gdańsk, is a software company with over 230 developers specializing in web and mobile applications. They have over 24 years of experience delivering complex software solutions including product design, development, testing, and technology consulting primarily in the banking, fintech, and insurtech industries. The company is searching for a Python Architect to join a team working on a long-term cloud solution project for a Norwegian client in the financial sector, focusing on process and workflow management for accounting firms and finance specialists.

• Experience as a Software Architect or Solution Architect
• Expert knowledge of Python
• Very good knowledge of Django 4.2, including Django Rest Framework, Django Filters, and Celery
• Practical experience with Django ORM, data model design, and decisions on data structure and storage
• Very good knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience optimizing databases, queries, and data access
• Experience designing solutions for performance, scalability, and system reliability
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture
• Experience designing architecture for complex systems and making long-term technology decisions
• Ability to integrate business, product, and technology perspectives
• Experience collaborating with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of Git and experience working with GitHub
• Experience with cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes
• Very good English language skills at C1 level

Nice to have:

• Experience with AWS Fargate

• Define and develop the overall system architecture aligned with business and product goals
• Translate business needs into clear architectural direction and technology priorities
• Collaborate closely with business, product, and development teams from early design stages
• Review key design decisions, identify risks, and support teams in making appropriate technological compromises
• Ensure consistency, scalability, and quality of architecture across the system and collaborating teams
• Support development teams through architectural consultations, mentoring, and problem-solving
• Co-create technology roadmaps and ensure alignment with business and product priorities
• Coordinate agreements between teams and facilitate discussions on complex or conflicting requirements
• Maintain high quality and technical details of delivered solutions
• Occasional travel to Norway or Gdańsk office for project meetings and events
