Forward Deployment Engineer

Snowflake is building a high-impact team to help innovative companies unlock the power of AI. The role is part of the Cortex AI team, focusing on deploying enterprise-grade AI systems using the Snowflake AI Platform, Cortex, and native LLM capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Passion for solving complex technical challenges and leveraging cutting-edge AI research.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-based or ML applications.
• Proven experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and performance tuning.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Java, and C++ or other backend languages.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment focused on Generative AI.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building production applications with LLMs, including RAG and agentic workflows.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps lifecycle, including deployment and monitoring in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and architecture.
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles.
• Startup experience.

• Architect, build, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions including AI agents.
• Build and iterate on AI pipelines and agents from prototype to production.
• Contribute to evaluation frameworks and observability infrastructure.
• Rapidly design, iterate, and ship code and ML pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Own the full lifecycle of AI solution implementation from development to monitoring and optimization.
• Serve as a technical expert and advisor to customer data science and engineering teams.
• Architect and implement data validation, SLA observability, and manage system interdependencies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Snowflake’s Product and Engineering teams to share customer feedback.
• Progressively take on larger ownership from components to entire customer engagements.
