Python Developer

Upvanta sp. z o.o. is hiring for its Remarketing Platforms IT team to develop a data-driven platform supporting vehicle pricing, mapping, and recommendations with a hybrid working model requiring 50% in-office attendance in Warsaw.

• 3–5 years of professional experience as a Python Developer with a data or backend focus.
• Strong Python skills including experience with data-processing libraries like pandas.
• Experience building REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
• Experience building and orchestrating data pipelines, ideally using Airflow.
• Knowledge of Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Good understanding of API design and system integration.
• Ability to work confidently in English within an international team.

Nice to have:

• Full-stack experience with Angular.
• Experience with cloud data infrastructure and containerisation.
• Exposure to event streaming technologies such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with data-quality and observability tools.
• Understanding of machine-learning workflows and collaboration with data scientists.
• Experience in automotive, leasing, pricing, or remarketing domain is advantageous.

• Design, build and maintain ingestion and transformation data pipelines orchestrated with Airflow.
• Shape and evolve the canonical data model focusing on data quality, consistency, and lineage.
• Build and maintain Python services and REST APIs exposing pricing and recommendation data.
• Implement and maintain integrations with source/downstream systems including external API and event-driven flows.
• Write clean, tested, well-documented code; implement monitoring and data-quality checks; support production pipelines and services.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Architects, Scrum Masters, and developers to translate business logic into software.

Full-stack contribution – a plus:

• Potential contribution to the Angular front end presenting pricing features to users.
