Backend Engineer (Python)

• 3+ years of professional backend experience with strong Python
• Solid understanding of relational databases and API design; capable of modeling complex domains
• Experience with async task queues such as Celery in production
• Pragmatic, self-directed with clear communication skills in English

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with TypeScript/React for frontend changes
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI models into production systems
• Experience specifically with Django

• Own backend features end to end including data model, API, production, and monitoring
• Build and extend AI pipelines that process evidence and draft reports asynchronously using Celery
• Develop and ship LLM-powered features including prompt design, structured outputs, confidence handling, and evaluation
• Maintain high code quality with tested, reviewable, and maintainable code
• Use AI tools like Claude and Cursor daily to enhance operational efficiency
