Senior Data Engineer

International technology and data team focused on insurance domain data solutions.

• Commercial experience as a Data Engineer or similar technical role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
• Very good knowledge of Python and practical experience with PySpark.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Apache Spark and Databricks.
• Experience extracting and transforming structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data.
• Understanding of data modeling for machine learning, analytics, and BI.
• Experience writing unit tests and validating data pipelines.
• Focus on clean code, quality, maintainability, and documentation.
• Fluent English at least B2 level.
• Availability to start early October for a 6-month contract.

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure, Databricks, Python, and PySpark.
• Use Databricks AI tooling and Spark to extract and process typed and handwritten insurance data.
• Clean, validate, transform, and model data for machine learning, analytics, and BI.
• Build datasets supporting reporting, analytical models, and AI/ML solutions.
• Develop and maintain data transformations using Python and PySpark.
• Support end-to-end data engineering initiatives from ingestion to delivery.
• Apply clean-code principles and contribute to code reviews.
• Create and maintain unit tests to ensure pipeline quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify data-quality issues and improve data governance and usability.
