QA Engineering Manager

To create revolutionary, story-driven RPGs which go straight to the hearts of gamers.

• Minimum 5 years experience in games or software industry in roles like Engineering Lead, Tech Lead, or Senior Engineer.
• Strong engineering background in tools, automation, infrastructure, engine, backend, or systems programming with code review capability.
• Experience developing or overseeing automated test frameworks, preferably in engine-based projects; experience with Unreal Engine is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, build farms, automated deployments, and integrating automated tests.
• Experience scripting/tools development using Python, TypeScript, and C#.
• Proficiency with Unreal Engine tools, frameworks, and processes.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
• Experience optimizing QA Engineering processes for cross-functional or agile teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on process optimization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Production.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in AAA game development or real-time systems.
• Familiarity with containerization and cloud technologies such as Docker, AWS, and GCP.
• Appreciation for CD PROJEKT RED’s games and worlds.

• Build and lead the QA Engineering team with focus on Witcher 4 and future projects like CP2 and Sirius.
• Execute and evolve the QA Engineering strategy to support current and cross-project needs.
• Oversee design, development, and maintenance of automation frameworks, tools, and diagnostics (automated functional tests, build validation, stability and performance checks).
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, DevOps, and Production for integrating testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish and monitor QA Engineering metrics such as coverage, pipeline health, automation reliability, and defect detection.
• Identify and implement tooling and process improvements enhancing testability and development efficiency.
• Manage risks and dependencies related to QA Engineering work, driving mitigation plans.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and career development to QA Engineers.
• Support planning and resource allocation balancing short-term priorities and long-term investments.
• Communicate status, impact, and roadmap of QA Engineering work across QA, Tech, and Production.
