QA Automation Engineer – API & Performance Testing

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, QA automation, data engineering, or software quality engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience designing test architectures and automation frameworks for complex or distributed systems.
• Expert-level experience in API testing and strong experience with API development and integration.
• Proven experience integrating automated testing and validation into CI/CD pipelines and implementing automated quality gates.
• Hands-on experience with property-based testing and mutation testing, understanding their impact on test effectiveness.
• Experience validating API/data contracts, backward compatibility, schema evolution, and architectural invariants.
• Practical experience with performance testing, scalability validation, and identifying bottlenecks.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills working across engineering, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams.

• Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks covering API, integration, contract, regression, and architectural testing.
• Develop and execute comprehensive API testing strategies to validate functionality, integrations, data integrity, reliability, and system contracts.
• Build and maintain automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines to prevent incorrect or non-compliant changes from reaching production.
• Validate API and data contracts, backward compatibility, schema evolution, and architectural invariants across distributed systems.
• Apply property-based testing and mutation testing to evaluate test effectiveness and improve coverage.
• Design and execute performance and scalability testing to identify bottlenecks and reliability issues.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, DevOps, and data engineering teams to improve quality engineering practices.
• Analyze automation failures, troubleshoot root causes, and enhance reliability, maintainability, and scalability of the testing ecosystem.
