Developer Advocate - Remote

Zyte creates powerful, easy-to-use tools to collect, format, and deliver web data quickly, dependably, and at scale, supporting over 2,000 companies and 1 million developers to extract data for business growth and innovation.

• 3+ years of experience in developer advocacy, community engagement, or related technical roles with an established following.
• Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, web scraping, and data extraction.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Python.
• Interest in web data extraction.
• Passion for supporting developers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with public speaking experience.
• Proven experience with communities, social media, and blogging.
• Background in community building and event hosting is a plus.
• Self-motivated, self-reliant, and able to prioritize tasks.
• Strong team player.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Scrapy, headless browsers, and web scraping is a plus but not required.

• Represent Zyte at developer conferences, meetups, podcasts, webinars, and other industry forums.
• Identify and evaluate speaking, sponsorship, partnership, and community engagement opportunities.
• Develop and deliver conference talks, workshops, live demos, webinars, and panel contributions.
• Build and maintain relationships with developers, community leaders, event organizers, and technology partners.
• Grow and support a network of independent advocates sharing Zyte, Scrapy, and web data extraction experiences.
• Engage with developers across social channels, forums, events, and technical communities.
• Create written content, videos, presentations, demonstrations, and code samples for developer adoption of Zyte tools.
• Showcase practical solutions to web scraping and data extraction challenges.
• Write technical articles for Zyte’s blog and third-party publications.
• Identify opportunities to contribute to developer and open-source communities.
• Represent the developer perspective within marketing and the wider organization.
• Suggest improvements and contribute to developer documentation.
• Contribute content regularly to Zyte’s social channels aimed at developers.
• Track and analyze impact of community and event activities to inform future initiatives.
