API Integration Engineer

• 6–10 years of experience in API engineering, integration engineering, or software engineering roles.
• Good knowledge of Azure platform infrastructure and cloud services, including networking, identity, security, and resource management.
• Experience with native Azure services and cloud architecture patterns.
• Familiarity with platform engineering and developer enablement initiatives.
• Knowledge of API observability and monitoring tools.
• Basic experience with Node.js, Python, and C#.
• Experience with GitHub Actions / GitHub Pipelines and modern CI/CD practices.
• Solid understanding of REST API, API lifecycle management, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and API security best practices.
• Experience working with Git-based development workflows.

• Design, develop, and manage enterprise-class API solutions using Apigee and Azure API Management (APIM).
• Lead and execute the migration of APIs from Apigee to Azure APIM, including policy migration, automation, testing, and validation.
• Develop and enhance self-service onboarding and API management mechanisms to support developer teams and reduce operational dependencies.
• Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for API platform provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Build automation frameworks for API deployment, policy management, environment provisioning, and operational processes.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to ensure reliable and consistent deployments.
• Collaborate with platform, application, security, and architecture teams to define API standards and governance.
• Implement practices related to API security, traffic management, observability, monitoring, and performance optimization.
