AWS Cloud Engineer

We are building a cloud operations team in Poland for one of the biggest US airlines. This is a long-term engagement (3 years) with one of the largest airlines in the world.

• Min. 5–7 years of experience in cloud engineering
• Hands-on expertise in AWS (advanced)
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture patterns: HA, DR, network design (VPC, peering, routing)
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation or Bicep
• Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog or equivalent
• Cloud security: IAM, encryption, security posture management
• Scripting: Python or Bash
• Containers: Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE), Docker
• ITIL-based incident & problem management experience

Nice to have:

• AWS Solutions Architect Professional / AWS DevOps Engineer Professional certification
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Experience working in T&M engagements with US clients

• Lead design reviews and provide implementation guidance for cloud solutions
• Translate business and application needs into scalable, cost-optimized architectures
• Drive continuous improvement across reliability, performance, security posture, and cost optimization
• Provide L3 incident, problem, and operational support; participate in on-call rotation
• Author and maintain operational runbooks: provisioning, rollback, backup/restore, DR validation, troubleshooting guides
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring and high-impact incidents
• Mentor L2 engineers and support escalations
