Engineering Manager - Krakow

LumApps operates in an AI-augmented engineering environment combining platform engineering with direct impact on customer organizations' workflows. The role focuses on leading teams responsible for Forms, Tasks, and Workflows platform, enabling scalable and automated processes within the broader LumApps platform suite.

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience leading platform, product, or operations/automation-focused teams.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture and distributed systems.
• Ability to reason about APIs, platforms, developer experience, and scalability.
• Strong people management skills with a coaching mindset.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working closely with Product Managers and Designers.
• Ability to influence beyond direct authority.
• Servant-leadership mindset: removes blockers, empowers teams, and measures success by team outcomes.
• Comfortable with agile working practices and adapts processes to team needs.
• Strong product orientation with deep understanding of end-users.
• Curious and eager to shape practical adoption of AI-powered systems.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Business Process Engine (BPE), workflow, automation engines, or permission/access-control systems.
• Exposure to AI-enabled workflows or agent-based systems.
• Experience in SaaS environments with large-scale deployments.
• Previous work in multi-team or platform organizations.

Platform Leadership & Architecture:

• Establish Forms, Tasks, and Workflows as reliable, scalable building blocks across diverse processes and customer organizations.
• Ensure permission and access-control capabilities scale safely with growing adoption.
• Own technical vision and architecture of the Forms/Tasks/Workflows platform.
• Guide technical decision-making balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainability.
• Deepen integration of Forms, Tasks, and Workflows into the broader LumApps platform.

Team Management & Growth:

• Build and sustain a high-performing team with strong ownership, engagement, and growth.
• Directly manage and support a team of engineers.
• Run performance cycles, feedback, and individual development plans.
• Coach engineers on technical growth and impact-oriented thinking.
