Software Engineer (Python, TypeScript)

The position is with one of the world's largest banks, working on stable, long-term projects under a B2B contract. The role involves operating within an international project environment with hybrid work arrangements in Kraków, Poland.

• Strong Python skills (Python 3.11+ preferred) and solid object-oriented programming fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Django, FastAPI, and TypeScript frameworks (Angular, NestJS).
• Excellent spoken English communication skills for day-to-day collaboration.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Strong analytical mindset, learning agility, and problem-solving approach.
• Basic understanding of open-source software licenses (Apache-2.0, MIT, GPL) and their practical implications.
• Familiarity with modern Python tooling (uv, Ruff, Rye) and Git workflows.
• Familiarity with Go.
• Familiarity with identity protocols and standards: SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code and Codex.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and OpenAPI.
• Visible technical engagement (blogging, GitHub portfolio, open-source contributions).

Nice to have:

• Experience with Java.
• Experience with Golang.

• Design and build secure application services and APIs.
• Drive technical design discussions and translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root-cause analysis.

Hybrid work mode: 8 days per month required in the office in Kraków. Recruitment process includes phone screen, technical test, and online meeting with hiring managers. Position offered on a B2B contract basis.
