.NET Developer, Investment Management Solution

Our client is one of the world’s top 10 investment companies, headquartered in Great Britain. They are building a data marketplace aggregating and processing data from multiple feeds and systems like stock exchanges, news feeds, stockbrokers, and internal quantitative systems.

• 5+ years of experience developing commercial applications on the .NET platform
• Experience with and strong understanding of .NET (including latest versions) and ASP.NET Core
• Strong focus on new feature development; not suited for legacy system support and maintenance
• Experience in developing applications based on microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Practical experience with MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL
• Solid understanding of web services and RESTful APIs
• Good understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Good spoken English

Nice to have:

• Experience with Angular
• Basic understanding of GraphQL
• Experience in the finance domain or CFA certification
• Experience with individual investments
• Experience with Windows Forms
• Experience with Azure AD

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using .NET and ASP.NET Core
• Implement new features and enhancements for the portfolio management platform
• Collaborate with asset managers, business analysts, and quantitative developers to understand business requirements and deliver technical solutions
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and service integrations
• Build scalable and reliable solutions for processing high volume financial and market data
• Participate in system design and architectural discussions and contribute to platform evolution
• Implement messaging and event-driven solutions using technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or Amazon MQ
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Write clean, well-structured, and testable code following engineering best practices
• Conduct code reviews and support knowledge sharing within the team
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across distributed systems
• Work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
