Senior Platform Engineer

The role is offered by emagine Polska and involves working on secure, scalable, and reliable cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on platform automation, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and operational excellence.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience as Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer
• Strong experience with Python development
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar backend frameworks
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and integrations
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering principles
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud architectures
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with platform engineering teams and internal developer platforms
• Knowledge of networking and cloud connectivity
• Experience with data platforms and metadata management solutions such as OpenMetadata
• Experience operating applications and platforms on Kubernetes
• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
• Understanding of GCP networking components like load balancers, DNS, TLS/SSL certificates, Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP), cloud security, and networking fundamentals
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tooling

• Design, build, and maintain scalable platform services and cloud infrastructure in GCP
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Develop and maintain platform services and APIs using Python and FastAPI
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL environments and platform integrations
• Ensure high availability, observability, reliability, and security of platform services
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to improve developer experience and platform adoption
• Implement and maintain cloud governance, access controls, and security best practices
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve platform and infrastructure issues
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce operational overhead and improve service quality
• Support networking, connectivity, and identity management across cloud environments
