Senior Power BI & Business Intelligence Engineer

Square One Resources is hiring a Senior / Expert Power BI & Business Intelligence Engineer to join an international Data Science & Engineering team responsible for the development and maintenance of a global Business Intelligence environment.

• 5+ years of professional experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics.
• Strong commercial experience in Power BI development.
• Proven experience with Power BI Administration and Premium Capacity management.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data serving in Power BI.
• Excellent knowledge of data visualization and dashboard design principles.
• Practical experience with Git, preferably GitHub.
• Ability to independently gather, analyze and translate business requirements into BI solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in an international and cross-functional environment.
• English at C1 level or higher.

Nice to have:

• Experience with SQL.
• Advanced data modeling including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM / CRM data.
• Experience with Snowflake.
• Experience with dbt.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Jira.
• Familiarity with Kanban / Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of business domains such as Sales, Marketing or Finance.

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Power BI reports, dashboards and BI solutions.
• Develop sophisticated and user-friendly data visualizations and dashboards tailored to business needs.
• Design and maintain effective data models in Power BI, including relationships, measures, and semantic models.
• Work with different data serving approaches to ensure reliable and performant Power BI solutions.
• Administer and manage the Power BI environment, including Premium Capacity.
• Contribute to Power BI governance, standards, security and best practices.
• Monitor and optimize Power BI environments and solutions for performance, scalability and reliability.
• Translate business requirements into technical BI solutions and independently manage requirements gathering.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and other technical teams to understand business processes and analytical needs.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists and other BI professionals within an international Data Science & Engineering organization.
• Use Git/GitHub and established development practices for version control and collaboration.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of BI development processes, standards and architecture.

Location: Poznań, Poland. Work model: Hybrid – up to 2 days of remote work per week.
