Lead Full Stack Engineer (Java+Angular)

SoftServe is hiring for a role developing features across the entire stack for a European public sector organisation. The position involves working on user interfaces, APIs, server-side logic, and database interactions with a focus on scalability, performance, security, and documentation.

• Master's degree with 15 years professional experience, bachelor's degree with 17 years, or secondary education with 22 years.
• Minimum 10 years in software development including 10 years developing Java applications.
• Minimum 4 years experience with Angular (7+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and front-end frameworks (Angular, Bootstrap, eUI) and modern build tools.
• Proficient in Java back-end stacks: Spring 5.x, Spring Boot 2.x, Spring Data 2.x, Spring Security 5.x, Hibernate 5.x, Groovy with Grails (2.5.3).
• Experience designing, building, securing RESTful APIs and web services with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
• Knowledge of relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience with Git workflows (GitFlow, trunk-based), legacy systems (SVN), cloud services (AWS, Azure), containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with authentication standards OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Recognized certification such as AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Microsoft Azure Developer Associate, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of REST API design standards, OpenAPI/Swagger, OWASP Top 10, secure SDLC practices, Agile/Scrum, DevOps, ITIL, and EU public administration processes is an asset.
• Very good English language skills, spoken and written, at CEFR level B2 or higher.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new projects, collaborate in teams, participate in multilingual meetings, apply security and cloud best practices, integrate builds into CI/CD pipelines, and work autonomously and as part of a team with a results-oriented mindset.

• Develop front-end website architecture and user interactions.
• Maintain features across the full stack from UI design to server-side logic and database operations.
• Ensure web application performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser/device functionality.
• Apply data security best practices including input validation, authentication, secure storage, and compliant logging.
• Facilitate communication between front-end and back-end developers for cohesive system integration.
• Design scalable software and develop features enhancing user experience.
• Build reusable and clean code, maintain code integrity and organization.
• Produce technical design documents, REST APIs, integration services, data models, Liquibase scripts, and API and technical documentation.
• Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, debug and fix code.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms with CI/CD and container technologies.
• Analyze data, code, and processes to troubleshoot and improve solutions.
• Provide technical status reports and knowledge transfer materials.
