Senior Platform Engineer

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and proven hands-on coding experience
• 6+ years experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related roles managing complex cloud infrastructure
• Hands-on expertise with GCP, AWS, Kubernetes (GKE, EKS), and Terraform
• Experience building scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure with automation focus
• Coding proficiency in Go or Typescript (or other relevant languages) including data structures and defensive programming
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Argo CD, Atlantis, and understanding of CI/CD principles
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
• Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack
• Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Self-organized, goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in remote distributed teams
• Prior experience specifically on platform engineering projects

• Function as an individual contributor collaborating through code reviews and mentorship, supporting feature teams for platform adoption
• Architect, design, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform with best practices
• Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters on GCP (GKE) and AWS (EKS), including network policies, service meshes, upgrades, and availability
• Develop and refine internal software delivery systems (CI/CD) integrating tools like Argo CD or Atlantis
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve platform-related performance, scalability, and security issues
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline operations and enhance reliability
• Act as a strategic partner to development teams to understand infrastructure needs and translate them into platform product features
• Participate in full software development lifecycle of internal platform tools and APIs
• Implement and enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with standards such as SOC 2 and GDPR, including security audits and penetration testing

This role is remote and available to full-time employees in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Israel. Contractors are considered in Eastern Europe and Portugal.
