Senior Product Designer - Design System

Moniepoint Inc. is Africa’s all-in-one financial platform, helping 20 million businesses and individuals access seamless payments, banking, credit, cross-border, and business management tools each month. It is Nigeria’s largest merchant acquirer, powering most of the country’s point-of-sale (POS) transactions. Moniepoint processes over $250 billion in digital payment transaction value annually through its subsidiaries.

• Extensive experience building, scaling, and maintaining production-ready design systems.
• Deep understanding of constraints and guidelines across Web, iOS, and Android platforms.
• Portfolio demonstrating system-level thinking impacting multiple products and workflows.
• Strong familiarity with how developers inspect, build, and consume components in code repositories.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma libraries, auto-layout, components, variants, variables, and library publication.
• Solid grasp of accessibility standards (WCAG), contrast requirements, and inclusive design principles.
• Familiarity with component-driven frameworks (React, Flutter) and Atomic Design methodology.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills to translate complex design decisions into clear updates and guidelines.

• Maintain high standards for layout, typography, colour, spacing, visual hierarchy, and overall digital finish across reusable elements.
• Design, build, and maintain robust component libraries (buttons, inputs, cards, navigation, forms, tables, etc.) that scale across products.
• Define interactive behaviors and state transitions (hover, focus, disabled, loading, mobile behaviors).
• Structure and maintain design tokens to ensure consistency between design and code.
• Organize variants, properties, and components in Figma to empower product designers.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams across Web, React, Flutter, Android, and iOS/Native environments.
• Create comprehensive usage guidelines and documentation for component usage.
