Backend Developer (with DevOps mindset)

CrustLab is a center of innovation and technical expertise specializing in iGaming solutions, including betting platforms, casino interfaces, and lotteries. They also work on Blockchain-based and financial technology projects. The company serves global clients and develops complex backend platforms that handle real-time challenges, thousands of concurrent users, and strict financial operation requirements. CrustLab manages the full product lifecycle from concept and design to maintenance.

• Minimum 4 years experience in Node.js development
• Proficiency in strongly typed languages, especially TypeScript
• Practical knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Experience implementing communication protocols including REST APIs, gRPC, synchronous communication (WebSockets), and asynchronous message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Proficient with containers and basic knowledge of orchestration like Kubernetes
• Familiarity with architectural patterns such as Hexagonal architecture, modular monolith, and outbox pattern
• Ownership of code quality and reliability for specific modules or areas
• Experience with AI-assisted programming and collaboration with programming agents
• Practical production experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Willingness to engage in DevOps tasks including environment configuration, CI/CD, and basic Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar)
• Basic knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch) (preferred)
• Practical use of Test-Driven Development with various tests (unit, integration) and tools like Test Containers
• Fluent in Polish and at least B2 level in English

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with team members on system architecture design
• Implement new features based on user stories or tasks
• Track progress using JIRA and document changes
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
• Conduct code reviews
• Fix bugs found in production environments
• Deploy and deliver software components
• Support the DevOps team in environment configuration and maintenance (production, staging, development)
• Help develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for own modules
• Work according to the Scrum model, participating in project meetings with team, client, or Project Manager
• Develop own skills and support team growth through knowledge sharing, mentoring, recommending new tools, and seeking best solutions
