Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer (Freelance)

This role is for the Tendem project, which focuses on specialized data scraping workflows.

• At least 5+ years of experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields is a plus.
• Strong expertise in Python web scraping with libraries such as BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar.
• Experience handling dynamic content including JavaScript, AJAX, and infinite scroll.
• Proven ability to extract data from complex structures including hierarchies and inconsistent HTML.
• Skilled in data cleaning, normalization, and validation to deliver structured datasets (CSV, JSON, Google Sheets).
• Experience dealing with anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) and containerization (Docker) as part of workflows.
• Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain and OpenRouter for automation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Self-directed with excellent troubleshooting skills.
• English proficiency at Upper-intermediate (B2) level or above is required.

• Own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites with complete coverage and accuracy.
• Use tools and custom workflows to accelerate data collection, validation, and task execution.
• Extract data reliably from dynamic and interactive web sources, adapting to JavaScript-rendered content and site changes.
• Enforce data quality standards including validation checks, consistency controls, and formatting adherence.
• Scale scraping operations efficiently using batching or parallelization and maintain stability against site structure changes.
