Senior Flutter Developer (freelance)

We've been designing and co-creating connected devices since 2008 for clients like Oura and BOSE, with over 60 people, fully remote. Our Flutter work is cross-platform code interacting with firmware, sensors, and hardware on iOS and Android.

• Strong commercial experience with the Flutter SDK
• Advanced Dart skills, including state management and async patterns
• Working knowledge of iOS and Android platforms sufficient for debugging
• Hands-on experience with BLE, particularly with flutter_blue_plus or similar
• English language proficiency at B2 level or above, written and spoken
• Problem-solving and creative thinking skills
• High coding standards and alignment with team patterns
• Initiative to bring new ideas and the ability to pivot based on evidence
• Engagement and team collaboration skills

Nice to have:

• Native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development experience
• Previous IoT or connected device project experience
• Experience with method channels and platform-specific plugin development
• Scrum or Agile delivery experience
• Willingness to share work publicly via hackathons, conferences, or talks
• Genuine curiosity about the devices being developed beyond code

• Build and maintain Flutter apps that communicate with hardware peripherals over BLE
• Create cross-platform code that behaves well on both iOS and Android
• Specify, plan, and estimate new modules and features
• Improve reliability by fixing issues found by QA, including unusual ones
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback
• Share knowledge via tech talks, internal documentation, and pair programming
• Collaborate with firmware engineers, designers, QA, and project managers
• Use AI tools as part of daily workflow

The first three months are freelance with no paid leave or medical benefits. Permanent contract benefits apply only after this period if transitioned. Recruitment process is conducted in English and all interviews are recorded.
