Product Engineer

Knapsack is the product company behind Knapsack Pro, a developer-tool that helps engineers optimize CI test runs since 2014. The team is small and located in Kraków, Poland, working mostly remotely with some in-person meetings.

• Four or more years of professional experience, preferably including a Product/DevTool Engineer role.
• Proficiency in crafting pragmatic and performant code.
• Experience designing public APIs, developer tools, and user experiences.
• Data-driven skills to evaluate and select the most promising solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work in an experiment-oriented environment.
• Capability to self-direct and handle complex projects.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Preferably located in Kraków, Poland.

• Engage directly with users to ensure their needs are fulfilled.
• Take ownership and responsibility for the software built.
• Respond to support tickets and participate in compensated Pager Duty.
• Develop complex projects from ideation and scoping to execution and maintenance.
• Work with various technologies including Heroku, AWS, Postgres, Redis, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, TypeScript, and multiple CI systems.
