Business Analyst - U.S-based (Insurance/AI & Integrations)

Decerto is a Polish software house specializing in technology solutions for the insurance industry, developing systems to support insurers in improving and automating their business processes, with expanding cooperation with clients in the United States.

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience with complex technology projects, process improvements, and system implementations.
• Strong knowledge of the U.S. insurance industry including products, underwriting, policy lifecycle, submissions processing, regulations, and broker workflows.
• Hands-on experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance; experience with Specialty Insurance and MGUs is advantageous.
• Experience translating business needs into technical and functional requirements.
• Hands-on experience with system integrations, enterprise applications, workflow automation, and software development projects.
• Experience supporting AI, Generative AI, intelligent automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Practical understanding of REST APIs, JSON, data structures, data mapping, and data validation.
• Familiarity with tools such as Postman or Swagger and ability to interpret basic code in Python, Java, or JavaScript.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, responsible AI, data privacy or AI governance.

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges and process improvement opportunities.
• Gather, analyze and validate complex business and functional requirements, translating them into user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
• Act as a key point of contact for the U.S.-based client, coordinating communication among client, Decerto, and partners throughout implementation.
• Support AI and automation initiatives, defining use cases, business rules, success metrics, testing AI solutions, and recommending improvements.
• Analyze and document APIs, endpoints, authentication methods, JSON payloads, data mappings and system integrations.
• Cooperate with Project Managers, Developers, SMEs and stakeholders during implementation, testing, UAT, releases, and production deployments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, maintain project documentation, and proactively identify solutions responding to client business needs.
