Software Architect

Our client is a global software company transforming the way engineering and manufacturing organizations develop and manage complex products. Their platform enables some of the world’s leading manufacturers to accelerate innovation, improve collaboration, and optimize product lifecycle management.

• 8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in a Software Architect or Principal Engineer role owning architecture across multiple teams.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS on Microsoft Azure (including AKS, Azure Front Door, CosmosDB, Terraform) and strong backend architecture skills in .NET with RESTful/OData APIs.
• Proven track record designing multi-region, highly available distributed systems with disaster recovery, Infrastructure-as-Code, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Practical understanding of APIs and platforms for autonomous AI agents (MCP protocols, function-calling, tool schemas), and familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector search, and semantic layers.
• Hands-on experience with security-first architectures (SOC 2, Zero-Trust) extended to AI agents, including agent identity, permissioning, blast-radius controls, prompt injection defense, and enterprise data guardrails.
• Active user of AI tools for architecture work to accelerate design, documentation, and codebase AI-readiness.
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to drive cross-team alignment, resolve design conflicts, and engage with senior stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with low-code platforms, API management products, or enterprise integration domains (PLM/ERP).
• Background in building developer-facing toolkits (SDKs, CLIs, React component libraries, npm ecosystems).
• Experience with agent-orchestration frameworks or agentic coding tools.
• Experience establishing evaluation frameworks or review processes for AI-generated technical artifacts.

• Define and own the group's target architecture, domain boundaries, service responsibilities, and key integrations as final technical decision-maker.
• Lead feature-level architecture elaboration, own technical roadmap, and set non-functional requirements such as performance, security, and observability.
• Architect APIs and data models for autonomous AI agents and establish semantic/context layers over enterprise PLM data.
• Establish evaluation and review gates for AI-generated architecture artifacts and track AI productivity and adoption metrics.
• Represent the group in architecture forums, partner with Cloud and DevSecOps teams, and engage with customers and partners to validate technical direction.
• Mentor Tech Leads and senior engineers to elevate technical culture, decision quality, and architectural consistency across teams.
