Senior Data Engineer

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in Microsoft Azure environment in data analytics.
• Proficient in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL) and one of the languages: Scala or Python.
• Advanced understanding of relational databases (OLTP), data warehouses and analytical databases (OLAP), Big Data.
• Experience with modern data platforms and data processing/transformation (ETL/ELT) processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric platform (data pipelines, Lakehouse, OneLake, Spark) and other Azure services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Analysis Services, Power BI, Azure Stream Analytics.
• Ability to design and implement large-scale data architecture considering Data Management and security principles.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent communication with both technical teams and business.
• English language proficiency in spoken and written form.
• Willingness for continuous development, especially in Azure services and Microsoft Fabric.

• Designing and overseeing data architecture using Microsoft Fabric and Azure services: building pipelines, Lakehouse, workspaces, and data models.
• Creating and optimizing ETL/ELT and data transformation processes (batch and streaming) using Spark, PySpark, Data Factory, and Fabric pipelines.
• Ensuring Data Governance and security: access control, policies, data masking, cataloging, lineage, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitoring and tuning performance of pipelines and data processes, implementing CI/CD with Azure DevOps and automation.
• Providing technical mentoring and leadership, sharing best practices, supporting less experienced team members.
• Collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams: gathering requirements, analyzing needs, and delivering business-aligned solutions.
• Continuously improving by following updates in Microsoft Fabric and Azure services and applying them in projects.
