Architekt/Starszy Architekt IT (k/m)

Agro Aplikacje is a modern in-house software company supporting innovative IT solutions for the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture. The company focuses on designing, simplifying, and expanding IT projects, using modern technologies to aid digitalization in the Polish agricultural sector.

• Higher education in relevant fields and/or specialized courses in IT systems architecture and corporate architecture.
• For Architect role, minimum 2 years of IT project experience in architect or related roles; for Senior Architect, minimum 3 years; or experience correspondingly longer with secondary education.
• Practical knowledge of corporate architecture management principles and their relations to solution architecture.
• Familiarity with architectural frameworks, standards, and notations: TOGAF, ArchiMate, UML, BPMN, C4 model.
• Ability to analyze and design architecture layers, identifying dependencies across business processes, capabilities, services, systems, data, and technology.
• Experience analyzing AS-IS architecture, designing TO-BE architecture, and defining transitional architectures.
• Skill in designing solutions from conceptual/contextual to component level, considering integration and organizational architecture.
• Knowledge of integration methods and patterns including REST API, SOAP, synchronous and asynchronous communication, messaging systems, event-driven architecture.
• Understanding of architectural patterns in distributed systems, including microservices and event-driven styles.
• Capability in designing solutions addressing non-functional requirements: availability, performance, scalability, reliability, security, maintainability.
• Experience with architectural oversight of multi-system solutions, projects, dependencies, and formulation of architectural guidelines.
• Ability to assess IT solutions for compliance with IT strategy, principles, technology standards, and target architecture.
• Experience defining/co-defining architectural principles, standards, and recommendations.
• Skilled in IT system lifecycle management, technical debt identification, modernization, replacement, and decommissioning planning.
• Competence in creating and maintaining architectural/technical documentation and modeling.
• Experience working with corporate architecture repositories and keeping architectural information current.
• Practical use of architecture modeling/documentation tools, especially Sparx Enterprise Architect, Jira, Confluence.
• Familiarity with agile, waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with analysts, solution architects, developers, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams, business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills, systems thinking, and ability to communicate complex architectural issues clearly to technical/business stakeholders.
• Independence, responsibility for recommended solutions, and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.

Nice to have:

• TOGAF, ArchiMate, or other corporate/solution architecture certifications.
• Experience in a corporate architecture team.
• Experience building, developing, or organizing corporate architecture repositories, including metamodel and modeling standards definition.
• Familiarity with tools for publishing/sharing architectural knowledge, e.g., Prolaborate, Pro Cloud Server, or equivalents.
• Knowledge of data architecture, IAM, SSO, cybersecurity in IT and GIS solutions.
• Awareness of container technologies, cloud platforms, and modern infrastructure environments.
• Experience in organizations with complex heterogeneous IT landscapes and transformation, consolidation, or modernization projects.
• English proficiency enabling use of technical documentation and industry standards.
• Experience in public administration, large regulated organizations, or public service projects.

• Designing and developing corporate architecture across business, application, data, and technology layers.
• Analyzing current AS-IS architecture and defining target TO-BE architecture and transitional stages.
• Creating IT solutions from conceptual to component level within organizational architecture.
• Developing architectural concepts and recommending solutions for new and evolving systems.
• Ensuring solutions align with IT strategy, architectural principles, technology standards, and organizational target architecture.
• Defining and co-creating architectural principles, standards, and guidelines.
• Providing architectural oversight for multi-system projects and integration dependencies.
• Agreeing on architectural dependencies between projects, systems, and domains, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Reviewing system integrations, API interfaces, synchronous/asynchronous communication, and event-driven architectures.
• Incorporating non-functional requirements like availability, performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Participating in IT system lifecycle management, identifying technical debt, and planning modernization or decommissioning.
• Creating and maintaining architectural and technical documentation, including architectural concepts, technical designs, and pre-/post-implementation documents.
• Keeping corporate architecture repository updated with current, target, and transitional architectures.
• Engaging in transformation initiatives regarding consolidation, modernization, and IT systems landscape development.
• Collaborating with business/system analysts, solution architects, development, infrastructure, cybersecurity teams, and business representatives.
• Presenting architectural recommendations and decisions to technical and business stakeholders.
