Product Designer – Internal Tools

SwingDev—a hippo company is the Polish branch of a fast-growing InsurTech product company – Hippo Insurance. They make home insurance smarter and more proactive using technology. They create digital products to support customers and focus on impactful solutions.

• 3+ years of production experience with a portfolio showing process, data, and impact.
• Proficient in Figma including components, variables, auto-layout, and prototyping.
• Comfortable designing data-dense, workflow-heavy interfaces with tables, filters, dashboards, and power-user shortcuts.
• Use LLMs as part of design toolkit for research, ideation, prototyping, and writing.
• Ability to run projects independently with staff designer support.
• Initiative to improve meetings and processes.
• Fluent in English with availability in afternoons 2-3 days a week.
• Active participation in team events and remote collaboration.
• Clear design process and openness to feedback.

Nice to have:

• Experience with internal tools or operations-heavy products.
• Experience designing AI-powered features including chatbots and LLM-in-the-loop interfaces.
• Knowledge or curiosity about US home insurance and claims.
• Experience working with US stakeholders and managing time zone differences.

• Design intuitive, accessible internal tools used daily by Hippo teams.
• Partner with PMs and engineers from discovery through delivery to define problems and ship features.
• Conduct user interviews, shadow sessions, and gather user feedback.
• Sketch, wireframe, and prototype designs at appropriate fidelity using Figma and LLMs.
• Facilitate alignment between product, design, and engineering teams.
• Share work openly including processes and ideas in design critiques.
