Full-Stack Software Engineer with OAuth

Endava partners with WTW to provide technology solutions for the Insurance Consulting and Technology Division, focusing on AI-enabled engineering practices and modern insurance software products. WTW is a global leader in P&C, Life and Health insurance software and advisory services with over 1,700 colleagues across 35 markets.

Software Engineering:

• 4+ years commercial experience with C# and modern .NET.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience in scalable enterprise applications or shared platform services.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and modern design principles.

Identity & Security:

• Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and JWT.
• Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization concepts.
• Experience integrating with enterprise identity providers.
• Understanding of secure API design and identity-based access control.

Cloud & Platform Engineering:

• Experience building cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code with OpenTofu or Terraform.
• Knowledge of Azure API Management or similar API Gateway technologies.

Front-End Development:

• Experience developing Angular applications using TypeScript.
• Experience building administrative or developer-focused web apps.

Engineering Practices:

• Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, API).
• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple product teams.

Preferred:

• Experience with Auth0, Fine-Grained Authorization (FGA), Google Zanzibar model.
• Familiarity with SCIM integrations, Identity Federation.
• Knowledge of Datadog, Playwright, Trivy, GitLeaks, Invicti.
• Experience building reusable developer platforms and working with enterprise shared services.

Identity Platform Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain authentication and authorization services with modern .NET technologies.
• Develop reusable platform services for secure authentication and authorization across business applications.
• Build scalable REST APIs and integration services.
• Develop and maintain Angular-based administration portals for user, group, and permission management.
• Contribute to Fine-Grained Authorization (FGA) and centralized access management evolution.

Platform Services & Developer Experience:

• Develop reusable SDKs, libraries, and APIs simplifying integration with the enterprise identity platform.
• Build developer tooling to improve onboarding and adoption.
• Maintain technical documentation supporting platform consumers.
• Design stable, reusable platform interfaces to minimize breaking changes.

Cloud & Platform Engineering:

• Develop cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure.
• Build and maintain reverse proxy capabilities via Azure API Management.
• Support Infrastructure as Code with OpenTofu/Terraform.
• Contribute to CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps.
• Improve platform scalability, security, and operational resilience.

Engineering Excellence:

• Write unit, integration, and automated tests for quality and reliability.
• Participate in peer reviews, architectural discussions, and design sessions.
• Promote best practices including Clean Code, automated testing, and secure software development.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, and platform engineers.

Operations & Collaboration:

• Participate in third-line production support and on-call rotation.
• Investigate production issues and support platform reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with multiple product teams integrating with the platform.
• Share knowledge and contribute to long-term ownership of Authentication & Authorization capabilities.
