Infrastructure Administrator (Linux / Storage Administrator)

Sopra Steria is one of the largest players in the tech industry in Europe specializing in consulting, digital services, and software development. The Polish branch, acting as the Global Delivery Center, operates in Katowice with around 1,000 specialists. The Digital Platform Services department focuses on cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, and security, serving clients across Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.

• Proven experience in storage administration with practical knowledge of SAN and NAS environments.
• Hands-on experience with NetApp (including MetroCluster), Dell PowerStore, Dell Isilon / PowerScale.
• Experience in Linux system administration.
• Strong understanding of storage concepts including LUN management, zoning, multipathing, and NFS/CIFS shares.
• Ability to monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize storage infrastructures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective process documentation and knowledge sharing abilities.
• Collaboration skills with distributed technical teams.
• Communicative French and Polish (minimum B1 level).

Nice to have:

• Certifications related to Linux or storage.
• Experience with storage migrations and infrastructure modernization.
• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery concepts.
• Experience in enterprise-scale environments.
• Familiarity with automation or scripting in Linux (e.g., Bash, Python).

• Administer and support enterprise storage environments with NetApp, Dell PowerStore, and Dell Isilon / PowerScale.
• Manage SAN and NAS infrastructures including provisioning, zoning, multipathing, and file shares (NFS, CIFS).
• Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability according to SLAs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents and infrastructure issues.
• Perform configuration changes, migrations, upgrades, and optimizations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and technical teams for reliable and secure services.
• Support Linux-based environments related to storage operations.
• Participate in problem analysis, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement.
