Database Administrator with French

Sopra Steria is a leading European tech company specializing in consulting, digital services, and software development, operating in nearly 30 countries with over 55,000 employees. The Polish Global Delivery Center, located in Katowice since 2007, currently has around 1,000 specialists. The Digital Platform Services department focuses on cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, and security, supporting multiple languages including French. The Application Services department manages software development, data engineering, testing, CRM, ITSM, and ERP platform integrations for clients across Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.

• Strong experience with Oracle Databases versions 9, 10, 11, 12, and 19.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata versions X6, X7, X8, X9.
• Good knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Experience administering Cassandra 3.11 clusters and MySQL databases.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to act quickly and effectively during critical incidents.
• Availability to participate in an on-call rotation.
• French language proficiency at B2 level or above.
• Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Proactive and detail-oriented.
• Ability to document processes and share knowledge effectively.
• Willingness to work from the Katowice office at least 3 days per month and participate in on-call support.

• Administer, maintain, and monitor Oracle, Cassandra, and MySQL database environments to ensure performance, availability, and reliability.
• Manage and support Oracle Exadata platforms and database infrastructure, including monitoring via Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Troubleshoot complex database issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Respond to critical incidents, ensuring rapid diagnosis, resolution, and service restoration.
• Perform database maintenance activities, including performance tuning, backup, recovery, and capacity management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business applications.
• Participate in on-call support when required.
