Application Operations Technician

Sopra Steria is a leading technology company in Europe specializing in consulting, digital services, and software development, with operations in nearly 30 countries and over 55,000 employees globally. The Polish Global Delivery Center, located in Katowice, employs around 1,000 specialists. The Digital Platform Services department covers cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, and security, while the Application Services department manages software development, data engineering, testing, CRM, ITSM, ERP integrations, and application management for customers across multiple European regions.

• Experience managing and supporting enterprise applications in hybrid environments (Azure, OCI, AWS, GCP, On-prem).
• Understanding of application operations, architecture, and integrations.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server environments and administration.
• Experience with application migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience collaborating with technology teams and business stakeholders.
• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience.
• English language proficiency at B1-B2 level.

Nice to have:

• AZ-800 & AZ-801: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator certifications.

• AZ-104 Azure Administrator or equivalent AWS/GCP/OCI certification.

• AZ-400, AZ-305, or AZ-140 certifications.

• Structured in operations and documentation.

• Team player effective in cross-technology collaboration.

• Act as the primary technical resource for business-critical applications.

• Troubleshoot complex application-related issues to ensure service stability.
• Plan and execute application migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
• Manage and optimize enterprise applications in hybrid environments (Azure, OCI, AWS, GCP, On-prem).
• Monitor application performance and drive continuous service improvements.

The position is available only to candidates located in the Silesian area willing to commute to the office in Katowice. The recruitment process includes a phone screening and two interviews conducted in English focusing on soft skills and technical competencies.
