Solution Architect

Sopra Steria is one of the largest tech industry players in Europe, operating in nearly 30 countries with over 55,000 employees. The Polish branch, acting as the Global Delivery Center in Katowice since 2007, has around 1,000 specialists. Within the Digital Platform Services department, teams specialize in cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, and security. The Application Services department covers software development, data engineering, testing, CRM, ITSM, ERP integrations, and application management for clients across Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.

• 10 to 15 years of experience in complex IT transformation projects.
• Strong background in end-to-end architecture design (functional and technical).
• Experience writing architecture documentation and facilitating workshops.
• Collaboration with security, infrastructure, business, data, and development teams.
• Participation in technical or performance audits.
• Knowledge in application and technical architecture involving multi-system integration, patterns, and APIs.
• Fundamentals of cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP) and enterprise integration.
• Strong knowledge of IT/OT security standards, IAM, compliance, and data classification.
• Understanding of data architecture practices such as data flows, modeling, and quality.
• Architecture modelling skills (Archimate).
• Natural leadership and advisory skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to simplify complex topics.
• Analytical thinking, synthesis, and problem-solving mindset.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
• Knowledge of architecture best practices (TOGAF).
• EU citizenship.
• Fluent English at B2/C1 level.
• Openness to occasional business trips abroad and visits to Katowice office.

Nice to have:

• Certifications such as TOGAF, SAFe, Archimate, Cloud Architect (Azure/AWS/GCP), ITIL.
• French language skills (any level).

• Design, coherence, and security of IT solutions within transformation projects.
• Act as a subject-matter expert for alignment between business needs, technical constraints, architecture standards, and IT strategy.
• Design functional and technical solution architecture.
• Define architecture building blocks, patterns, and integration principles within the IT ecosystem.
• Ensure compliance with architecture, security, infrastructure, data, and performance standards.
• Formalize recommendations and document architectural decisions.
• Prepare, structure, and facilitate functional and technical workshops.
• Coordinate interactions between business, IT, security, infrastructure, and project teams.
• Ensure global consistency of architecture across all contributors.
• Apply project processes, especially during architecture phases.
• Participate in or lead application audits for obsolescence, security, and reliability.
• Integrate data classification and cybersecurity standards into architectural decisions.
• Produce architecture deliverables.
• Monitor and update architecture risks, assumptions, and decisions.
• Contribute to architecture governance including committees and reviews.
