Network Engineer

In Netcompany Banking Services we deliver a range of different IT solutions and services to banks and savings banks in both Denmark and other Nordic countries. We provide a modern, cloud-based core banking platform to more than 50 Nordic banks, serving over 2 million end customers. Our solutions include daily banking operations, mobile and online banking, payments, investment, risk management, compliance, and open banking.

• Significant experience as a Network Architect or Network Engineer with a strong focus on technical design and implementation.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in enterprise networking including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, WiFi, VPNs, proxies.
• Proven experience implementing and/or managing complex data center and campus networks.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and their practical application.
• Deep, practical experience designing and implementing Microsoft Azure network components.
• Excellent problem-solving and technical execution skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant IT specialization.
• Proficiency in the English language.

Nice to have:

• Professional-level network certifications.
• Cloud networking or security certifications (e.g. Azure/AWS networking specialty).
• Experience within the financial services industry or another highly regulated environment.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes.

• Translate the strategic network vision from the Lead Technology Architect into detailed, technical designs for implementation.
• Lead the technical execution of network projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with architectural standards.
• Collaborate with network specialists and operations teams to implement, configure, and troubleshoot advanced network solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of network standards, documentation, and best practices.
• Partner with the IT Security team to ensure security controls are properly integrated into all network designs.
