Senior Software Engineer, AI Intelligence Platform

• 5 - 8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and shipping large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience owning systems end-to-end from architecture to production operation.
• Strong knowledge of software design best practices, data structures, algorithms, and distributed-systems fundamentals.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies with good judgment on tools like serverless functions, containerized services, relational and NoSQL databases, caches, queues, and data-processing pipelines.
• Experience building systems handling sensitive or regulated data with security and privacy as first-class design constraints.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to articulate complex technical concepts and build alignment.
• Demonstrated ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly in a fast-evolving AI landscape.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have:

• Experience building AI/LLM-powered systems in production.
• Strong background in security, privacy engineering, or trust & safety.
• Experience with large-scale data platforms and data-intensive systems.
• Experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code.

• Design, document, and drive the architecture for key platform components ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and business alignment.
• Own complex initiatives from design through development, deployment, and iteration, translating ambiguous goals into clear technical requirements.
• Build the foundation unifying Aura's data into a trusted, high-quality source for intelligence generation.
• Architect AI agents' access to sensitive data enforcing least-privilege access, isolation, and privacy guarantees.
• Build systems that turn intelligence into personalized insights and safety actions.
• Make and defend high-leverage technology choices balancing scalability, cost, and operational simplicity.
• Champion engineering best practices for security, privacy, observability, testing, and operational excellence.
• Serve as a technical mentor providing guidance on design challenges, performance tuning, and system reliability.
