First Connect Insurance Services is a digital marketplace providing independent insurance agents access to top US carriers and various insurance policies like home, auto, and small business. Their flagship product is the Carrier Store, a platform designed to personalize and streamline access for independent agents to insurance carriers using smart recommendation algorithms.

• 6+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Deep proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with asynchronous system architecture.
• Strong theoretical foundation including design patterns and clean architecture design.
• Technological and professional maturity with resilience for complex systems.
• Teamwork, cooperation, mentoring skills, and excellent communication.
• Startup mindset with ownership, prioritization under pressure, and drive for improvement.

• Familiarity or strong willingness to learn modern LLM tools.
• Based in Poland with flexibility for partial US time zone overlap.
• Fluency in English (C1) and Polish (C2).

• Drive Access Automation & SSO by implementing SSO solutions and API integrations to replace manual carrier processes.
• Tackle complex architectural challenges including rebuilding licenses and access-sharing structures.
• Manage critical funnel paths such as sign-up, onboarding, and producer state automations.
• Handle side domains including compliance, team member features, and legal access regulations.
• Balance high velocity with reliability to ensure urgent requests do not compromise funnel stability.
• Participate in technical discussions and product discovery, translating requirements into architecture.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and potentially external clients.
