Director, Global WMS Software Engineering and Product Design

HelloFresh is building a new R&D Tech Hub in Warsaw, Poland, focused on warehouse management system (WMS) software engineering and product functions. The role involves working with global teams to deliver and manage the WMS platform Infios's Warehouse Advantage (Körber/Highjump).

• 10+ years WMS software engineering and implementation experience with tier-one systems in distribution, manufacturing, or e-commerce.
• 3+ years hands-on with Infios's Warehouse Advantage (Körber/Highjump) and SQL Server.
• 3+ years managing application integrations with microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and ETL pipelines.
• Experience implementing and scaling CI/CD pipelines, automated testing gates, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code across multi-environment tech stacks.
• Familiarity with agentic and AI-assisted engineering tools such as automated code review platforms, AI test generation, and LLM-powered developer tools.
• Experience defining and using engineering delivery and quality metrics (e.g., DORA) for process improvement.
• Experience leading legacy system refactoring and technology transition planning with risk mitigation.
• Experience leading digital product design and scaling technology operations across multiple brands and digital properties.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to build leadership support for technology investments.

• Provide technical direction and performance accountability for the deployment of Infios's Warehouse Advantage WMS platform globally.
• Drive integration architecture and reliability via CI/CD pipelines, event-driven architectures, and data platforms like Debezium, Kafka, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Support platform architecture optimization on AWS.
• Champion agentic engineering practices including AI-assisted code review, test generation, and intelligent deployment pipelines.
• Own the maturity roadmap for CI/CD pipelines including deployment automation, rollback strategies, feature flagging, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Collaborate to build a QA function with automated regression, AI-assisted edge case generation, contract testing, and performance/load testing.
• Establish and monitor engineering metrics such as DORA metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead architectural governance and technology transition planning.
• Manage vendor relationships to augment engineering capacity.
• Coach and develop engineering, product, and leadership talent; partner with HR for recruitment and career development.
• Collaborate on product consolidation and strategic initiatives across departmental leadership teams.
