Senior Machine Learning Product Engineer, Communications, Growth Alliance

HelloFresh is a global food company with a technology backbone called HelloTech, employing over 1000 people. HelloTech builds digital platforms supporting HelloFresh's end-to-end food experience, including meal kits, ready-to-eat meals, pet food, and premium meat & seafood, serving millions of customers monthly through subscription-based, direct-to-consumer models.

• Hands-on experience with AI tooling such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
• Deep expertise in data and ML engineering, including production model operation and statistical literacy.
• Ideally over 5 years of experience building and operating production machine learning systems.
• Fluency in Python, Spark, and Databricks with backend/platform knowledge in Go, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to design experiments and evaluate model metrics accurately.
• Operational judgment to diagnose and fix system issues under load.
• Strong ownership mentality and bias to ship.
• Product sense supported by data and user evidence.

• Own and improve ML infrastructure, developer tooling, and workflows for production ML systems.
• Build and operate machine learning systems and data products from experimentation to production.
• Architect and optimize the Send Decisioning data layer, integrating feature stores and pipelines.
• Develop AI-assisted content generation and context-driven asset retrieval systems for marketing.
• Build production-grade pipelines and serving layers with observability, data reliability, and error handling.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to transition experimental models to resilient production services.
• Set ML engineering standards via core repositories, CI/CD templates, and ML platform practices including Databricks and MLflow.
• Operate and monitor production systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Work beyond specialization when needed and take full ownership of built systems.
