Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Menu Personalisation

• 8+ years of experience building and operating production ML systems with technical leadership at scale.
• Proven architectural decisions with long-lasting impact influencing multiple teams.
• Production experience with recommender systems or large-scale personalization strongly preferred.
• Fluency in the data and ML stack, including Python, Spark, and backend/platform technologies such as Go, Kafka, Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience across feature pipelines, model serving, and observability at scale.
• Statistical literacy to design valid experiments and assess model improvements accurately.
• Operational judgment to diagnose and debug system issues under real load.
• Practical usage of AI tooling such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot with an understanding of context shaping output quality.
• Strong product sense with ability to back decisions with evidence and translate into business value.
• Bias to ship with full ownership through to completion.

• Set the technical direction for the ML systems behind menu personalization, owning feature pipelines, training workflows, model serving, experimentation tooling, and infrastructure.
• Translate research and experiments into production systems meeting latency, scalability, and observability requirements.
• Shape the personalization roadmap with Product and Engineering leadership backed by data and user evidence.
• Operate and improve systems in production, embracing continuous learning post-deployment.
• Raise the technical bar through architecture reviews, mentorship, and setting production ML craft standards.
• Make long-term architectural and platform decisions with multi-year impacts.
• Drive engineering excellence via standards adopted beyond the Menu Personalization team.
• Collaborate company-wide on best practices and engineering initiatives advancing ML and data engineering craft.
