Software Engineer (Java)

Join our R&D team developing software solutions for telecommunications and optical networking systems, focusing on network management, data transport, and optical networking solutions.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java knowledge (versions 11/17/21).
• Understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Experience with REST APIs, distributed applications, Git, and JUnit.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD practices, and software quality processes.
• Comfortable working in a Windows-based corporate environment using Microsoft Office and Teams.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of microservices and cloud-native technologies.
• Understanding TCP/IP networking, client-server applications, and network management technologies.
• Experience with message brokers and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Python or Bash scripting.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in telecommunications, networking, or transport networks.
• Familiarity with YANG, NETCONF, RESTCONF, TAPI, and service orchestration solutions.
• Understanding of optical networking technologies and standards (e.g., DWDM, G.709/OTN).
• Experience in international research or standardization projects.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java applications and services.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests.
• Perform code reviews and improve software quality.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
