Senior Software Engineer

BlackLine is a leading provider of cloud software that automates and controls the entire financial close process, focused on modernizing the finance and accounting function. The company operates a best-in-class SaaS platform and is building a new Engineering Hub in Krakow. The role focuses on their AI-powered Invoice-to-Cash solution, a platform that uses intelligent automation to improve accounts receivable processes and cash collection efficiency.

• Demonstrated expertise using AI-driven development tools (Cursor, Claude) to enhance engineering velocity and quality.
• Strong experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, secure SaaS applications.
• Required proficiency in C#, with deep understanding of software architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects from ambiguous requirements to launch.
• Strong foundation in modern development practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Observability skills including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing for microservices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working across time zones.

• Ability to translate complex business problems into simple, elegant technical solutions.
• Experience in regulated industries such as finance or accounting.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Responsible AI principles in software development context.

• Build and ship complex, well-tested features for a mission-critical enterprise application.
• Utilize AI-accelerated development tools (Cursor, Claude) to speed up design, coding, and testing.
• Design and implement scalable, robust, and maintainable solutions for the core SaaS platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine requirements and contribute to technical roadmap.
• Engineer systems focusing on performance, reliability, and security for a global user base.
• Mentor teammates, conduct code reviews, share knowledge, and establish best practices.
