Senior Software Engineer

BlackLine is a leading provider of cloud software that automates the financial close process, with a vision to modernize finance and accounting functions globally. Founded in 2001, the company delivers SaaS solutions aimed at empowering accounting and finance leaders. The role is part of the new Engineering Hub in Krakow, focused on AI-powered Invoice-to-Cash (I2C) solutions.

• Expertise in AI-driven development tools (Cursor, Claude) to enhance engineering velocity and quality.
• Strong experience designing, building, and deploying production-grade, scalable, and secure SaaS applications.
• Proficiency in C# with deep understanding of software architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects from ambiguous requirements to launch.
• Familiarity with modern development practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Knowledge of observability practices like logging, metrics, and distributed tracing in microservices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across time zones.

Nice to have:

• Ability to translate complex business problems into simple technical solutions.
• Experience in regulated industries such as finance or accounting.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with principles of Responsible AI applied in software development.

• Build and ship high-impact features from concept to production with clean, well-tested code.
• Utilize AI development tools like Cursor and Claude to accelerate design, coding, and testing.
• Design and implement scalable, robust, and maintainable SaaS platform solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine requirements and contribute to the technical roadmap.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and security for a global user base.
• Mentor team members through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and establishing best practices.
