Senior Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer

• Mainframe systems programming experience
• Strong understanding of z/OS services structure, Parallel sysplex, Catalog management
• Experience with product installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Knowledge of PARMLIB configuration and JES2 customization
• Familiarity with z/OS hardware, LPAR, HMC, and REXX scripting
• Ability to support problem solving and implement changes on z/OS environments
• Experience with BMC and Broadcom products
• Advanced knowledge of SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead problem solving and coordinate multidisciplinary groups
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• GDPS Metro Mirror concept
• HCD skills
• Storage on z/OS

• Upgrading, maintaining and supporting z/OS operating systems
• Upgrading, maintaining and supporting ISV products
• Providing technical support for customers, implementing changes, resolving assigned problems
• Providing 24x7 after hours on-call support as required for supported products
• Ensuring personal compliance and ownership on security, audit, and systems integrity posture
• Highlighting areas for improvement in current processes and implementing improvements

As a leader in the field:

• Conduct RCA discussions for products
• Provide ongoing technical and operational guidance to lead professional work teams
• Influence stakeholders outside of own department or function
