Senior DevOps Engineer

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on DevOps experience with SaaS platforms on AWS.
• 3+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform in AWS.
• 2+ years as a platform engineer contributing to automation and self-service ecosystems.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Solid knowledge of NetApp ONTAP administration, provisioning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with AWS storage services: S3, EBS, EFS, FSx.
• Experience integrating storage with Kubernetes workloads (PV, PVC, StorageClass, CSI drivers).
• Experience providing L2 support on automation systems or storage infrastructure.
• Exposure to AIOps practices including intelligent alerting and AI-assisted automation with Datadog AI and GitHub Copilot.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and GitOps workflows using ArgoCD, Kargo, GitHub Actions.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Datadog and Splunk.
• Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Passion for automation, documentation, and platform engineering mindset.

Preferred:

• Experience building Kubernetes operators or controllers (controller-runtime, kubebuilder).
• Familiarity with Cilium or equivalent eBPF-based CNI.
• Experience with claim-based or self-service provisioning patterns.
• Experience with backup and data protection solutions such as AWS Backup or Cohesity.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery design and testing on AWS.
• FinOps awareness and cloud cost optimization experience.
• Familiarity with secret management tool Vault.
• NetApp certifications (NCDA, NCIE) are a plus.

Platform Engineering (Full Scope):

• Contribute to infrastructure automation across AWS using Terraform Enterprise, Ansible, Harness, Kubernetes (including operators, CRDs, cluster lifecycle management), and GitOps practices.
• Support and evolve continuous delivery pipelines ensuring reliable deployments in multiple environments.
• Build and maintain self-service capabilities via Kubernetes-native APIs and GitOps workflows.
• Leverage AIOps for platform reliability including intelligent alerting, anomaly detection, incident triage, and automated remediation using tools like AWS DevOps Agent, Datadog, and GitHub Copilot.
• Write and maintain automated, documented production runbooks.
• Provide L2 support for automation systems and pipelines.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-mortems.
• Collaborate with Production Ops, DBA, and application engineering teams on platform improvements.
• Identify and implement AWS cost optimization opportunities.
• Document architecture decisions and operational procedures.

Storage and Infrastructure (Area of Specialization):

• Own, automate, and improve storage platforms including NetApp, S3, and EBS focusing on reliability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Design and implement storage architectures on AWS with high availability and fault tolerance.
• Provide L2 support on storage incidents involving performance, availability, and data integrity.
• Integrate storage with Kubernetes workloads (persistent volumes, storage classes, CSI drivers) and backup solutions like AWS Backup and Netapp B&R.
• Ensure compliance with RPO/RTO objectives and contribute to disaster recovery testing.
• Administer and optimize Active Directory and DNS environments with focus on performance and security compliance.
