Product Safety and Regulatory Compliance Engineer

At Motorola Solutions, the PSRC department handles hardware certification for all MSI brands and markets in the EMEA region, focusing on ensuring product safety and regulatory compliance.

• Background in electronic/electric and mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of CE, UKCA, UL, and other worldwide certifications.
• Understanding of hardware type approval requirements for global markets.
• Familiarity with harmonised EN standards in the EU (including EMC, LVD, RoHS).
• Proficiency with Google Suite (spreadsheets, slides, etc.).
• Experience with AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Notebook LM).
• Experience with ISO9001, preferably as an auditor (a plus).
• Communicative English language skills.
• Additional EU language skills (a plus).

• Define mandatory standards and certifications for Motorola products in relation to reference markets.
• Agree on voluntary certifications and tests with marketing.
• Guide technical choices in new product development to align with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate actions to guarantee product certification according to standards.
• Manage certification processes internally and with accredited external bodies, ensuring compliance with timelines.
• Guarantee successful completion of required external tests in cooperation with project managers.
• Create and maintain archives of declarations of conformity, certifications, and official product test reports.
• Prepare EU Declarations of Conformity and other regulatory documents.
• Support Type Approvals and Inspections in the EMEA region.
